Fresh leadership for a new era
The IEUA is a regional wastewater treatment agency and wholesale distributor of imported water serving just under a million people in San Bernardino County. Division 1 represents Upland, Montclair and portions of Ontario, Chino and unincorporated land.
Representation
Elected representatives should represent their constituents. It sounds simple, but it’s becoming increasingly rare. To do it effectively means being involved in the community and supporting local businesses. We are meant to be an ambassador for the board in the community and a voice for the community on the board. If elected I intend to do my best to protect the interest of individuals, families, builders and businesses. In addition I hope to bring awareness to the innovation and overall importance of the work being done at the IEUA.
Collaboration
I believe in building bridges rather than burning them. Too often politics turn into sporting events with each side set on defeating their opponents. True progress, however, often comes through compromise and collaboration. In my experience on non-profit and government boards, I have had to work together with people I disagree with to come to solutions for the common good of the people we serve. I plan on bringing this experience to the IEUA in order to serve all stakeholders.
Leadership
I’ve spent the past 25yrs working with and under incredible leaders. Now I work with local non-profits and churches in order raise up the next generation of leaders. One of the most important aspects of leadership is being able to stand in the face of adversity and continue to hold to your convictions. If elected I plan continuing this work as a representative of Division 1 on the Inland Empire Utility Agency
